Hi, I'm Daniel Elliston; I grew up in Cambridge. I completed my first degree in Biochemistry at UCL and then went on to study Dentistry at Bart's and the Royal London graduating in 2010. Since then, I have studied for and completed a Diploma in Implantology and a Diploma in Minor Oral Surgery at the Royal College of Surgeons. I relocated to Suffolk a few years ago with my wife. We have two fantastic daughters. I spend my spare time gardening, doing DIY and playing music.
I really enjoy all areas of dentistry. Currently, I have created a digital workflow for implant placement. I feel it is important to use and keep up to date with modern practices. Since graduating, I have kept up to date with a diversity of modern technologies, including implantology, intra-oral scanning, same-day crowns, maxillary sinus augmentation, bone grafting, and restorative and prosthodontic technologies. I feel it is important to strive to provide the best for my patients by actively undertaking continuous additional training.
I understand some people can find Dentistry daunting, and in the Cotswolds, I worked in a clinic that provided sedation for nervous patients. I try to overcome this barrier to care by informing people what their treatment involves and taking the time for questions. I also try to minimise the need for more work by planning for future problems rather than fixing things as they happen. I think one of the most rewarding things about the job is providing Dental Implants to patients who have had gaps for many years so that they can eat, smile and go out with friends without worrying about their smiles.

My journey in oral healthcare began over a decade ago when I started my career as a dental nurse.
The experience I gained over the course of 12 years enabled me to enhance my clinical skills and gain a deeper understanding of the intricacies of dental care. This hands-on experience laid a solid foundation for my transition to a role as an oral health educator.
Drawing on my experience as a qualified teacher, I spent years educating, motivating, and empowering individuals to become more
responsible for their oral health. Furthermore, with a commitment to community well-being, I actively engaged with health centres in London, partnering with Colgate to supply toothbrushes and toothpaste to deprived areas.
In pursuit of further professional development, I embarked on a challenging dental hygiene course, and in 2023, I graduated from the University of Essex with distinction.
Aside from my professional life, I enjoy spending time with my family, going on long walks, exercising and learning about new cultures.
As a dental professional, my vision is to contribute to the overall health and well-being of individuals by promoting optimal oral health practices and empowering patients to take control of their oral health.
I have worked in dentistry since 2008, gaining experience in general dentistry, oral surgery,
domiciliary and hospital. Qualifying as a hygienist from the University of Essex in 2017.
I have a particular interest in digestive health and its links to oral health. I love getting to know my patients and pride myself in being gentle and making the appointment as good as possible whilst encouraging you to achieve better oral and general health.
In my personal life I like doing anything active I can normally be found outside walking. I love to holiday in England, climbing mountains, exploring quaint towns and villages, visiting historic buildings and places of interest, and indulging in the culture and food abroad.
I am a gym fanatic who does callisthenics and different styles of lifting and also competes in bodybuilding.
I love animals, and I have dogs, a horse, and chickens. I also enjoy live music spending time with
friends and cooking; this is particularly important as I am a coeliac.
